Adriana Williams Holden: The Diary of my life

I could remember it like yesterday, my dad woke me up from my sleep, telling me to hurry and get dressed.

"Adriana, come on, get dresses?"

"What the matter, Daddy!?"

"We are going to a hotel tonight! your mother"- Before he could finish his sentence, there was a loud shattered glass that hit my bedroom door.

"DONT LEAVE ME! DONT LEAVE ME! DONT LEAVE ME!" My mother voice screamed from behind the door.

"Back away from the door, Adrianna! you are scaring your child!"

"I WON'T LET YOU TAKE HER AWAY FROM ME!"

"I AM NOT! YOU NEED TO GO TO SLEEP AND TAKE YOUR PILLS LIKE THE DOCTOR SAID YOU NEED TOO!" My father shouted back at her as he picked me up, putting on my slippers as he exited out the door, pushing my mother to the ground. "Stay down, Adrianna! You're only making this worst for yourself and our daughter! you need help!" My father shouted out to her as he rushed past her and down the stairs fast as my mother was right behind our tails.

That was my first memory of her having her first episode. I didn't know what was wrong with her. My father told me that she was sick and she needed help, but she never took her medicine to get better. I think that is the reason why I always took my medicine when I was sick. Even with my children as well, making sure they take their medicine so they weren't sick, like my mother.
