Battel ground is not a place to find your mate, not when you know everyone from your side which left you with only one conclusion, that your mate is from opponent side and you are here to kill him . 
Nonetheless he can not do anything about it as he is a commander of his troop and crown prince of his pack, he can not choose his mate above all and moreover they are already in battel ground facing each other just about to start war.
But just like him opponent commander is dazed too roaming his eyes here and there to find something or someone and then that pair of eyes landed on him and instantly changing into crimson red forcing his own eyes to change into scarlet red and at a same time both whisper 'MATE'
Oh did he think that things can not be worse than this, then he is proved wrong  because his mate is non other then crown prince of The Lunar pack from which they have great history of rivalry.
