In the desolate town of Utsurobashi, Ayame Yamazaki is the quiet harbinger of an unsettling unease that clings to the community like a lingering fog. Serving as a nurse in the local hospice, she tends to those nearing life's end, yet her presence elicits a collective shudder amongst the townspeople. Isolated by an unspoken fear, Ayame moves through the shadows, a peaceful façade concealing a disquieting mystery.

Utsurobashi itself is a frigid labyrinth of hidden truths, demanding entry across the cobblestone expanse of the Bridge of Illusion. Locals, with hushed tones, recount peculiar incidents tied to the crossing, as if the very fabric of time warps beneath its arches. Whispers circulate, suggesting that a step across this threshold may precipitate a tumble, a descent into unforeseen chaos.

The town, with its meticulous façade, conceals an insidious undercurrent that leaves residents on edge. Ayame Yamazaki becomes both witness and catalyst to the unspoken fears that grip Utsurobashi, a place where the ordinary takes on an eerie complexion, and the true source of the town's disquiet remains obscured.
