Illusions (A Dystopian Story)

The government thought they could get away with it. That's what they assumed at least. But they didn't. And all it took was one person to see through the illusions.

It was a warm summer day when a girl named Ash, and her friend Matthew, volunteered to help out with their local church's Vacation Bible School program. They were never really Christians, but they respect all religions. Well... most at least.

When they got there, Matthew didn't notice the small changes that were happening around them. People acting abnormal, the dream-like atmosphere, not even how in sync the people of the church seemed to be acting. But Ash did. And when she told Matthew, her life changed forever.

The government was conducting a new experiment where they used illusions to trick the minds of people in order to gain more control over them.

Author's note: This is based off of a dream I had and I really liked the dystopian feeling it had to it, even if it is more of a government test. I'm actually just happy to have access to my Wattpad account, cause for some reason they made me reset my password for it and didn't give me a link to do so. Clearly it worked and here I am so yea!
