In the depths of The Abyss, Jaden, will have the worst time of his life. Can he escape these demons...? (This story is a HUGE WIP. This is just a little project I wanted to make one day and this is the result! So far, at least. I've extensively planned the lore of the story, so feel free to share your theories! The story ends abruptly, so I will be adding WAY more content, if this gets enough support, that is. Also, this is literally the first time ever i've written a novel, so I'm open to any criticism to improve my writing! Have a nice day!)

When monsters and demons cause chaos, humans will always find a way to adapt using more and more violent weapons or are we the one bringing chaos? Yi Chen Lee is a 34 year old single father, scientist and empathetic extrovert who had been abandoned by his boyfriend and has not recovered from the loneliness life has brought him ever since. When his ex, Seiji Fujikwa, the betrayer of the human civilization who ran away to rule the monsters suddenly came back, Yi Chen's conflicted on Seiji's motives and whether they still love each other but he cannot focus entirely on his love life. The defense force (DPS, Defense, Protection Service) is creating the D4 ray (which Yi Chen is also responsible for creating), a laser that will end the monster race and chaos once and for all. Is this the solution to the ongoing conflict? Can the gap between humans and those of chaos be bridged? And most of all, is there an ethical solution? Yi Chen will have to answer those questions whether he has the energy to or not and with the help of Seiji, his son Hiro, his coworkers Kieran, Marai, Itsuki, Bob (the foreigner) and the DPS, he'll find the answer. (Hello hello :D please note that this book is very old by now and it's very bad (the plot is also very bad and basically nonexistent, which you can tell from the description because I do not feel like rewriting it), so read at your own risk :) I am thinking of a way to entirely rewrite the whole thing, but believe me when I say it's difficult to make something good and consistent out of something so bad lmao :/) Being someone whose first memory he seems to be able to remember is being kidnapped by an organisation that resides somewhere between the stars that has an unclear goal and is not known for their hospitality towards anyone else, Cosmo feels slightly overwhelmed about suddenly being forced into the "real world" unfamiliar to him after having escaped from said organisation's clutches. After successfully not dying during his attempt to get away, he somehow manages to end up in Heaven, the place currently a Hotspot for the Ultimas' Invasions, the same feeling group of people who had recently been accused of killing Lucia, the head of Hell. It seems as though Cosmo's existence has peaked their interests aswell...The more Cosmo focuses on the intentions of the people he runs into, the stranger they become. Everyone seems to be focused on solely themselves and nothing else...And what's this Karma and Fate stuff that everyone keeps blabbering on about? There's so many questions Cosmo wants to solve, but there's not always time... (Btw, apologies if there's any errors in the writing, the first thirty or so chapters were written on paper originally and it would've taken too long to convert them all to digital form by typing them out, so the writer used a program that isn't entirely perfect at deciphering their handwriting.
