In a land ravaged by war and destruction, it's not uncommon to find orphans and wanderers with no set path and little knowledge of themselves. Morana is no exception. Her life has been one of inconsistency, moving from place to place every few years, always trying to keep ahead of an unknown danger. But she can't hide forever, and danger is quickly closing in.

When a brutal attack leaves Morana alone and on the run, she has no choice but to search for answers, both about herself and about the Dark Lord pursuing her. Her only clue leads her to someone who may have the answers she seeks, but can she trust one who was created by her enemy? Time is running out for everyone and the end of an age approaches. Morana will either rise from the ashes or find herself in a grave beneath them.

Warning: This book, while being a work of fiction, still deals with real and mature elements. There will be chapters dealing with abuse, gore, PTSD, images of torture, sexual content, and other topics which some might find triggering.

The path fate lays before us is often many years in the making, and the tale of the Phoenix and the God-spawn is no different. Nearly 3,000 years before the war that would bring about Astaroth's defeat, another battle was waged to ensure there would be a future to fight for. Duty has been thrust upon Prince Azael Cadhael for centuries, first by filling the role of an uncrowned King, but his true story begins as all royal stories do: with a ball, a secret, and a peculiar dream. When Azael overhears the whispered plans of his betrothed and her twin brother to leave with the Phoenix on a goddess-given quest, he must surrender to a new type of duty entirely. Navigating his ever increasingly strained relationship with Tissaia Lochren while striving to save the future of his kingdom isn't a job easily done, and her closeness with the Phoenix, Kaius, certainly doesn't make it any easier. Tissaia has spent years in the shadows of her own failure and her father's wrath. Kaius's quest offers her and her brother Talarion a chance to claim their freedom at long last, but fighting ones' past can be just as deadly as fighting an armed foe, especially if that past isn't keen on backing down. If they're going to succeed, all four of them must learn to recognize the power in truth and bared secrets, as well as the strength in kinship. If they fail, it could mean the doom of all Asterria for an age. But if they succeed, perhaps fate will be kinder than they have been led to believe. Morana, the Witch of Life by High_Priestess_Elena
101 parts Complete Mature
Morana knows she's different from other people in more ways than one. Firstly, she's sixty-seven years old but stopped ageing in her twenties. Weird things have also happened around her right after she's wished for it. But most importantly, no matter how she acts, people feel uncomfortable around her. Unfortunately, she has no way of finding out why all of this is since she was abandoned as a baby. A shocking event makes her cross paths with Alejo, a male witch who has issues trusting other witches. But when it comes to Morana, he feels comfortable and at ease, as well as attracted to her. They are, however, not mates, and as such, he knows that any romantic relationship between them is doomed to fail. To not risk losing her, he therefore does all he can to fight his own feelings. [Can be read without having read volume one and two] ---------- Mature rating due to: smut, violence (magical mainly, but some that's rather bloody), death, attempted rape (happens in chapter 42 and will be mentions of it afterwards, fairly none-descriptive, focus is on emotions, there will NOT be a trigger warning at the beginning of the specific chapter), abuse both physically and verbally - mention of past child abuse. There is no self-harm, however, there are certain aspects that might still be triggering in that regard. If you ever have any questions about the content and potential triggers, feel free to reach out to me. I'm more than happy to specify more if need be. ---------- This series will contain the following volumes: Volume 1 - Zoe, the witch of innocence (completed) Volume 2 - Crimson, the witch of night (completed) Volume 3 - Morana, the witch of life (completed) Volume 4 - Mirai, the witch of sight (completed) Volume 5 - Danae, the witch of light (ongoing) Volume 6 - Rheseis, the faerie of love

Initially disregarding this revelation, A'roya eventually realizes that she deserves a life free from abuse and unhappiness. A'roya yearns to escape the clutches of her husband and mother, but numerous obstacles stand in her way. As she navigates her path to freedom, she faces the daunting challenge of protecting her minor siblings and ensuring her father's safety from her mother's wrath. Will A'roya overcome these obstacles and break free from her abusive circumstances? What lies ahead for her as she embraces her vampire mate and strives for a better life?" ---/--- "You're distracting me-ah, Vincent!" He put his hands on my waist, pulling me closer to him. I'm not used to being so close to a man without being hit. The last time I was safe in a man's arms was when I was a kid with my dad. "A'roya," he whispers, admiring my face. "Vincent," I whispered back, playing with the wet hairs on the nape of his neck. "I love you." I must've smiled so damn wide. I put my forehead on his, trying to reel in tears. God, I'm such a crybaby. "I love you too." Vincent sighed confidently. "Oh, I know." I sighed and rolled my eyes. At this point, I'm used to this man. (EDITED TO A READABLE STATE.)
