This story is about a man named James and his journey to live and romance a blonde French nonbinary person named Fern, but as assumed difficulties arise with the language differences and as James learns more about Fern he learns more about their past and their family and another problem is Ferns brother Mike who is overprotective of Fern after they both ran away from abusive parents

Between Us (MxM)
--- Nathan, or Nate as everyone called him, had a girlfriend. On the surface, everything seemed perfect. But beneath that façade, his heart was restless, drawn elsewhere-toward someone else. And so, Nate remained torn-trapped between his heart's truth, the expectations of the world around him and his desire not to hurt anyone, had to force all emotions down.
