To the unsuspecting eye, Amelia seems like your average upper class Manhattan good girl. There's expectations of how to behave for people that live in the upper east side, especially in the wealthy circles. She studies hard, knows when to keep her mouth shut, pays too much attention to her appearance and tries to live up to all those expectations, for her mothers sake. Amelia would give anything to be herself for a change, even if she doesn't know who that is.
When shit hits the fan in the family, and in her love life, she ends up moving out of Manhattan to a small town called Aberdeen on the other side of the USA.
Other than the sadness of moving out of her home town, Amelia feels like she can finally make a fresh start; There's no expectations and no one telling her how she should act. Flowing, beautiful scenery surrounding her and the surprising return of her older brother with a friendly handsome blonde haired and blue eyed man named Chase, maybe this small town wont be so bad after all. Maybe she'll even have a chance to be happy.
Happy might not be part of the plan when she starts at the small towns High school, Greymount High. She has an unfortunate encounter with the towns brooding bad boy, Damon Braxton. Then realises she lives next door to said "brooding boy," Who happens to be best friends with Mr Chase Fletcher, the blonde that never leaves her alone. Oh joy.
They bring out the good and the bad in her, and it makes her feel more like herself then she ever has, but why is it that whenever she's with them, the drama occurs?
Will she take the opportunity of discovering herself even if it is at the risk of letting bad things happen? Or will she play it safe ankd stay away from the troublesome two, away from all the drama but risk never living life and letting go?
You only live once but if you do it right, once is enough.
