"Why must we always hurt the ones we love?"

_____

He grabbed my wrist tightly and hustled me through the crowd. I pushed and shoved everyone in my way as he practically dragged me through without a care in the world about who we pushed. Once we got outside I yanked my arm away and pushed him further away from me.

"What is your problem?" I yelled.

"How could you be up in there kissing that loser, Genesis? Can't you tell his using you?"

"Using me for what? I'll have you know he hasn't asked me for a God damn thing other than my name."

"Haven't you realized half of your lyrics have been used in his songs? He just changes up one stupid word and adds a few cusses." He said.

"What's wrong with that?"

"I—We made those lyrics together, Genesis. We spent so much time working on it and its not fair that he can come make a stupid song off of them. How can this not bother you? Are you that blinded by his clothes and shit that you can't realize this shit?"

"You know what, bye."
