"You see that sign too?" One of his teammates asked as he skated over. His teammate hunched over on his stick so they could hear each other better over the noise coming from the arena.
Keeping his focus on the girl standing behind the sign, he replied, "Yeah I see it. That's the rookie she's talking about, right?"
"Yeah. I could never imagine dumping your girl because you made it to the big leagues. That girls a Leafs fan too. We should give her a show eh?"
You had been waiting for that call from your boyfriend where he would finally tell you "I'm headed to the NHL." And one day that call actually came. But it didn't go the way you had expected.
Being told you were a distraction and getting dumped so your ex could follow his dreams infuriated you. And obviously, like anyone would do, you created a plan to get back at him.
