Steve Harrington promised himself to never meddle in someone's life again, especially after the events from last year where a boy Steve bullied committed suicide. This changed Steve completely, from the most popular guy of Hawkins High, he became an outcast who kept to himself, not attracting any attention. But when Robin Buckley approaches him in the halls one day and proposes to pay him to befriend the school's 'wannabe rockstar' Eddie Munson, Steve stops thinking rationally. He decides to ignore the fact he's the reason Eddie was considered 'the freak', and even though it's not ideal for him to repent by forcing a friendship, Steve agrees. Well, he'll face the consequences sooner or later. Unless, this will bring him something good?

The kids are all graduating this year, which will most likely end up giving the two now men, no reason to stick around anymore. But what will happen to the two friends when Steve realizes the feelings he's thought for so long to just be a platonic friendship have always been a little more? A lot of angst probably. Eddie is in his last year of school, he is the leader of Hellfire, he's openly Gay and pronouns are He/Him.
