In 1945, amidst the brutality of World War II, a thunderous explosion shattered the peaceful backyard of the Manalang family in the province of Bataan. The Manalang couple, humble farmers, rush to investigate, expecting nothing more than the remnants of a Japanese bomb. What they find instead is far beyond their comprehension: a wrecked spaceship and a dying alien-Vaelos V'Ruun, the captain from the distant planet of Garion.
