Bright yellow eyes could be seen from the treeline as goosebumps rose on his arms and up his spine. He saw those eyes, expecting to see a wolf like him, yet the figure of a slim and lean woman emerged. Her skin tan, eyes golden, and sleek black hair reaching her hips. And within a split second, before his brain could even react, he found himself walking towards her in a total trance. No thought in his mind, but his ears registered a low growl as he stood a foot away from her. Almost... predatory.

She and Laurent were both curious, but Victoria quickly became jealous, especially once they figured out where the scent was coming from. The scent was a human, and the human was James's mate.
