This was not what Sanem had envisioned for her life. A young widow running her own publishing company..alone. She also never thought she'd love again. Her heart was broken and no one would ever be able to put the pieces back together.

Can was just on a short vacation in Italy visiting his family in between photography projects. He had no idea that coming home would bring back so many memories from his high school days and bring him face-to-face with the only girl he would ever love.

Is possible that they could find unexpected love?

Welcome to my first EK fan fiction! I'm so in love with Can and Sanem! Their love story has inspired me to write again. This is an AU version of their beautiful story and I hope you like it as much I have loved writing it! If you love romance and true love, you're in for a treat!

This is an AU story inspired in the original dizi of Erkenci Kus. I had some ideas to many open points that where left without a reply. I missed a different approach to some of the characters like Yiyit or Huma or even Ayhan and why not Derem and Cey Cey. In my thoughts they deserved another end at no way these characters had a fair exit in the story. However to make things more interesting and amusing I have just come to the idea that Mr. Wrong should be around and we shall see what happens with all of them. So some characters and things and could be slightly different from orginal serie. I beguin after Can leaves with Polen to the Balkans and Sanem remains in agency and is working at her book already with Yiyit. Another note, the famliy Divit has 2 sons Can and Emre and a daughter called Lale. This is my first story and Im not experienced in writting. I haven't got the rights of the characters from the original story.

It was hard leaving, but fate had plans for the sisters. Can Divit, is a world renowned photographer, comes from a wealthy family. He's kind of a wild card, but has a heart of gold. But doesn't like to show it. His brother Emre works in the family business, but Can is happy doing what he does best. But his father wants him to settle into the business. But Can still wants to travel, but who knows what the future holds.

Mirhiban, the wife of Aziz Divit, the owner of the hotel where Sanem's father had been the manager until the moment he passed away, was a very loving and endearing woman; her heart almost broke when she found out about the little girl left behind and quickly organized for her to stay with her and her family. Her own sons, Can and Emre, were already teenagers; Can was a sweet sixteener and Emre...a grouchy fourteener, so a little girl to take care of was just what she needed. From the moment Can met this...tiny but so beautiful little girl with her big, dark deer eyes, he felt a very special bond between them. Mirhiban felt it too and happily noticed that Sanem trusted her eldest son ever since. Can spent all the time he could with 'his little babygirl' and helped her get through the loss of her own family. But both of them would grow up into adults, and...what about that 'special bond' between the sweet sixteener and that so tiny and beautiful little girl when that happens..? Snippets of alternate outcomes in the lives and enduring love story of Can Divit and Sanem Aydin. When I started out with this story, I only intended to loosely base the 'short piece' on the events in Bolum (Episodes) 17 & 18 however, I got such positive feedback, I decided to stretch it out a bit. I'm still unsure how far I will stretch it but so far, I'm enjoying writing it and will keep going till I run out of steam. I can't think of any show/movie that I've watched in recent times to which I have reacted as I did when I watched Erkenci Kuş. The characters hooked their claws into me and wouldn't let go. I rooted for Sanem and Can; cried and laughed with them; railed at and cursed their detractors and finally rejoiced over their reunion. However, the ending was so rushed. After all the angst we were put through with their relationship, I felt robbed of an extended happily-ever-after. What we were given was too short. I hope to right that wrong, amongst others, with this story. Though I only watched the show in Jan/Feb 2023, I have since rewatched it countless times. There were certain parts of the plot which wound me up so much so this is me writing what I wished had happened. Enjoy!

When the attorney speaks and says their names and why they are seated directly in front of him they both realize something very big is about to change their lives forever.

Can Divit, the lonely Albatross who values his freedom above all, dedicated to his camera and spreading his wings discovering all corners of the world. Falling in love with Sanem isn't the problem, the question is will she accept this version of him. Or will she choose the memories of the past over the new memories they could create together. How does Sanem cope with these two men? Will she fight to get her Can back or try to understand the Albatross a little better. She is sure of only one thing, whoever he is today she will always love him. Her Can or the new Can. Sanem has to decide whether or not she is ready to go down the path of new discovery with the Can who doesn't remember her. However, the memories of their past love are so important than her, maybe too important. Will she stick around or save herself the heartache.
