The Bride & the Darkman

A young man named Harvey loses his beloved wife to bombing raid. As a result, he becomes rageful, and decides to go to war to fight for his country. But, when Harvey is crippled in war, he is sent back home, only to be rejected by his former friends and family! To make matters worse, a corrupt and tyrannical sergeant named Edward Thomson frames poor Harvey and for a crime he didn't commit, and throws him in jail! But in the jail cell, Harvey meets a woman, who has been through hardship as well, and helps her escape. With Harvey and his new friend, they flee to Hastings to find refuge, only to be tracked down by Edward Thomson! Which eventually leads to their final showdown to London, in this moody, yet comical gothic romance.
