Monika stares into their eyes, unfeeling, an ever so faint glimpse of sanity visible in the irises.
'You want to know the truth?
'Yes', they reply, voice wavering, to make sense of it all that Monika would know such a thing- of her very own existence in a game disturbed them. It set their nerves alight, coursing through with adrenaline and anxiety.
They had to know.
'I know what you're thinking, Prota, I can feel your worries, you do realize that mm?'
They shake their head, unable to swallow the ball of anxiety in their throat that makes it hard to breathe.
'Well since you are here... Really here'- A large grin took the corners of Monika's face before she continued on, she had fully lost her sanity- 'I'd like to tell you the truth, every bit since you are going to be here for well you know... The rest of eternity. Wouldn't like to see my love bored now, would I?'
Prota stared at her, silently shaking with fury.
'It all began...' She continued, 'With a club. A club of members that were blissfully happy, their needs satisfied and met. An unpopular club.
Here's the trick, Prota, this time you weren't there'.

"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
