People always say you can tell trouble by how it look.

But nobody ever tell you that sometimes trouble shine.

It was the first thing I noticed about him, the shine.

The black BMW GLE parked outside the jerk centre like it didn't belong to Jamaica at all. Like it catch the sun different. Like it know people watching.

And everybody was watching.

In a place like this, you don't just see a BMW GLE and move on with your life.

You ask questions.

Who him be?
How him get that?
Who him people?

I didn't ask anything.

I just looked.

He stepped out slow, one hand on the door, chain resting on his chest, Clarks clean like him never touch dust yet. He wasn't smiling. He didn't have to.

Some boys beg attention.

He didn't.

He just leaned back against the car like the world owed him something.

And when his eyes met mine?

That was the first mistake.

Because from that moment, my simple little Saturday evenings were never simple again.

And the worst part?

I knew better.

But sometimes knowing better and doing better is two different things.
