Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian have been married for almost five years now. They loved each other deeply and they lived happily. They come and go from Cloud Recesses as Lan Wangji doesn't want Wei Wuxian to be caged by the rules of his sect. It was also an excuse to be alone with Wuxian more often.

During a visit home, something happened to Wei Wuxian that no one understands why. Someone had placed a charm on Wei Wuxian and it changed the lives of Wangji and everyone else within the Lan Sect.

Was it actually a charm or did someone mess with something they shouldn't have?
