Using innovative brain computer interfaces, World of Eden elevates and even transcends the gaming experience into otherworldly proportions. Having a fanbase of millions of players worldwide, World of Eden combines Christian ideology with the mythologies of various cultures (think, Greek, Norse, Japanese, Chinese, African, Middle Eastern, and Native American). It is popular for its cultural versatility and its addictive story. Buffy immerses herself in gaming, programming and her studies to disguise her grief over the disappearance of her father. She enters her own VR game into a competition held by Eden Enterprises, the maker of WOE, and wins a coveted internship at the company her senior year of high school. During her first day at the job, she accidentally unleashes a virus "Sin" throughout the user base, infecting the minds of millions of people worldwide. Seeking to undo the damage, she enlists the help of her mentor, Luke Tanaka. She joins his guild and embarks on a journey to undo "Sin", all while making new friends, juggling romantic interests, and rekindling her faith.

Pandora Wallace, along with her twin Adam, is born into the iniquitous British society of 2035. This story follows the first 18 years of Pandora's blighted life. In 2015 the British government start micro-chipping babies, at birth, and then spend 14 years also chipping all of the adult population. In 2030 they abolish cash completely and all transactions have to be carried out via a human's on-board chip. This microchip is inserted into the heart wall of all acceptably healthy babies at the moment of their birth; the heart muscles powers the chip by recharging the battery. A second microdot 'PIN' is inserted at a random point in the baby's body. Should this 'PIN' become separated from the heart chip by any distance it causes the heart microchip to explode. The government is able to electronically disable or suspend the operation of anyone's chip at their whim, leaving the owner reliant upon the charity of others, or dead. Pandora is born with a minor gene defect which precludes her from being 'chipped'. Following a family crisis, at 14 years old, she is forced out on the streets to join the vast numbers of 'non-chips' who have to rely upon charity and slave labour to survive, not being allowed to work legally or earn money. Pandora finally goes to work for the underworld, determined to claw her way to the top and acquire an illegal microchip. She becomes a messenger at first and then her virginity is auctioned off by her boss. She becomes a high-class prostitute, a bodyguard and tangles with both a psychopathic killer and a government department determined to kill her and her boss. Books 2, 3, 4 & 5r continue to tell Pandora's story, together with that of the ill-conceived Chip & PIN system.Complete

Infact its more like a rock in the water but it has vegetation, and it isn't attached to the main island, so it's considered an island. The island in the book is bigger and sits further out to sea. But it is still apart of Barbados. The citizens on the island are called Barbadians with a majority black population however there's a significant amount of clear skin people.
