The Crumbling City

Cora is an alchemist. They know how to make potions and keep their head down. When strange, dark forces appear to be at play in the city, they do their best to ignore them. Until one day, their door is almost beaten down.

Their best friend (and lifelong crush) pulls them into a world of adventure and intrigue, trying to solve a murder and unravel a world-threatening conspiracy. They do it with the help of the aforementioned crush, a nervous vicar, and a mermaid. Along the way, they learn about the dangers of shutting yourself of from the world, and what they'd sacrifice for their friends. And how to kiss.
