The endless expanses of space - vast amounts of creatures and beings slumber in them.
A group of them - cybernetic, insect & sea creature-like aliens called "Scrin" - now have their sights set on Earth as a possible new harvest planet. However, intercepted radio transmissions reveal the presence of the Cybertonians on this planet.
In order to avoid unnecessary losses, an agent is now being sent to find out the Cybertronians' reasons for their stay and how to get rid of them. During this work, said agent is then confronted with their own past....

A terrified girl finds herself mixed up with three other children in a war that had somehow reached to them. Unlike the other children, she did not have a home to go back to. Scars like hers run too deep and she does not know what worth she could even give to the transformers who have now become her guardians to protect her from decepticons. Her near constant presence in their base seems to be a bother to the transformers, she can tell even if they do not say it out loud to her. The girl is not a fool.
