Author's Note:

"Almost A Love Story" - is a tale of two hearts lost in Taiwan in the fall of 2018. It follows the story of a young man at his early 30's who flew from Seoul to Taipei in search of his ex-fiancée and a woman at her late 30's who went there to put the pieces of her heart back together.

It is a stand-alone/short story which we most time informally refer as "One Shot" stories. This story is created for a contest hosted by Wattpad Romance in celebration of Fall Season 2023. It was my first time joining contest on Wattpad, it was my first non-fanfiction story and my first stand-alone story. I guess this story will become memorable to me.

I've joined the contest because the idea (and prompt) piques my interest, I am a fan of slow-burn romance and I believe the contest prompt ideas fits my genre of specialty. I've heard his once somewhere, "Legendary love stories are the ones with sad endings..." - do you agree?

In the contest, I've chosen Prompt #1: "As the leaves start to fall, my thoughts drift to you. Memories of what might have been continually replay in my mind. Wherever you are, I hope you think of me too."

The prompt has this pang of pain, longing and sincerity on it.
Love was made for the brave; To experience love, one must be brave.
Brave enough to accept the fact that love may hurt you along the process.
And you'll never discover its beauty if you refuse to let it in.
