Saurotopia has been nothing short of a paradise for Bronto, Celia, Agnes, and Quinn. It is the only place on earth that has never been destroyed by any environmental disaster, and the only land where Leafeaters of all species live in peace, safe from Flesheaters. Thus, ever since finding this land, Bronto, Celia, Agnes, and Quinn have grown even stronger in their friendship.

However, as Bronto, Celia, Agnes, and Quinn reach their teenage years, more dinosaurs from the Unknown Lands make Saurotopia their home. Soon, there is concern for overpopulation. To avoid a scarcity of resources, dinosaurs segregate into herds based on species. Each herd must fight other herds on "Saurus Battle Days" to gain resources from each other's territories.

As tensions remain high among the fighting herds, Bronto, Celia, Agnes, and Quinn are faced with the challenge of addressing conflict between their herds, and within their own friend circle.

Although the Leafeaters and Flesheaters of Saurotopia have experienced an era of peace and harmony, concerns over population growth have caused tensions to return. Soon, Bronto receives a vision with an important message: Saurotopia must expand in order to accommodate the growing populations, and the "Destined One" will have the power to accomplish this feat. A furry, feathered Flesheater named Clovius arrives, claiming to be the Destined One who will expand the valley's territories. However, he states that the only way he can gain the powers to expand Saurotopia's fertile territories is if the dinosaurs of Saurotopia behave harmoniously with one another and recruit dinosaurs outside Saurotopia- Clovius claims that he must eat as many non-Saurotopian dinos as he can in order to gain the powers to expand the valley. Many dinosaurs in Saurotopia are swayed to aid him, as Clovius promises that bringing him outside dinosaurs to feed on will not only give him powers to expand Saurotopia, but also powers to transform Saurotopian dinosaurs into "Superior Forms." Ebenezer, one of the many dinos swayed by Clovius's claims, starts a following of "Harmonizers." Together, they use a special resource called Blissmellow to hypnotize outside dinos into a harmonious state, so that they can be coaxed into becoming prey for Clovius. Meanwhile, Bronto, Trex, Celia, Quinn, and Agnes are divided about trusting Clovius. As many dinosaurs become deceived by false promises of peace and security, Bronto must learn to discern right from wrong if he is to help Saurotopia expand with a sound and true atmosphere of harmony. --- Complete version of this story is available on amazon- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CP5LT1C3
Dinosaurs Don't Dance by JoelleSC

Cowboys and dinosaurs. Where the western world had saurian denizens as normal as six-shooters. The 19th century comes alive with an adventure of unlikely friendships and the battle against dinosaur cruelty and colonial skirmishes. Follow the trio: A shrewd businessman whose love comes unrequited, a devoted dino caretaker who refuses to tame her spirit, and a relentless hunter too reckless for his own good. Amidst the backdrop of daring shootouts, classic high-stakes train heists, and dinosaur hunting, they race against time to stop all-out war. ═══════ 𝙿𝚁𝙴𝚅𝙸𝙴𝚆 Randall's scowl deepened. "It seems we differ in our understanding of what constitutes cruelty to God's creatures. I have no desire to subjugate nature through force when harmony can be cultivated through ethical practices. Our goal is to empower mankind through merit, not shows of dominance." Shaw's smile tightened slightly at the rebuke. "You paint me as some brutal slavedriver. Where does your morality stand with the hadrosaurs that pull our carriages? The Centrosaurus' ploughing your fields without pay or vacation, helpless before any whip or spur? Even the natives have already made use of Pachies (Pachycephalosaurus) to safeguard their land. A few scars mean little to creatures that dedicate their lives to man's service. These dinosaurs depend utterly on humans for survival. We could shoot them all and make this a man's world when we wanted. Oh, that's right! We did." ═══════ 𝙰𝙲𝙷𝙸𝙴𝚅𝙴𝙼𝙴𝙽𝚃𝚂 x9🏆 Contests awarded x1⭐ FEATURED on @ReshapeIt (formerly @SpeculativeFiction) ═══════ 𝙷𝙸𝙶𝙷𝙴𝚂𝚃 𝚁𝙰𝙽𝙺𝚂 #1 | 19th Century (2025) #1 | 1880 (2023-2024) #1 | Animal Cruelty (2023-2025) #1 | English Literature (2023-2025) #1 | Speculative Fiction (2023) ═══════ Total Word Count: 88,700 [17 Jun 2023 - 5 Oct 2024]
