A story based on a one-shot I wrote not too long ago. Steve and Bucky's disappearances have been switched, leaving Steve with Hydra and Bucky being found in the ice.
There will be some tidbits I took from the one-shot and put them on here throughout the story.
I think it's important to note that Bucky is 5'9, not 6'0 like in the movies. And a bit more thin.

Set after Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Bucky is lost, without a purpose and brainwashed within an inch of his life. S.H.I.E.L.D and Hydra have both fallen and without anyone to stop him, Bucky intends to find out who he is - or who he was - before Hydra took away every last inch of him.
