Hello! What a lovely day, aye? So recently I found out that I have an older sibling. She's 24, that's how I got the title. Her name is Carrie. She doesn't know about me. I don't think that she even knows where my family lives. But that's okay, at least I know about her. I have always wanted an older sibling, someone that I could look up to, that would be there for me. I guess now I have an older sibling, but I don't expect her to look out for me. This book is going to be realistic fiction. And for all of you out there that still get confused with fiction and nonfiction, realistic fiction is where it is true at points but is a make believe book, okay? So, this is one of my first books, so please comment what you think and if I should update more often? Or less often? Feel free to comment if you are confused or I made an error.. Caroline loves her new friend Lily. They do almost everything together. But as time goes on, it becomes more and more apparent that Lily is not everything she seems to be. Where did Lily come from, what is she hiding, and what's the real reason for their intense friendship? For those of you who are already familiar with my writing, I should let you know that this short story is nothing like anything else I've written. I wrote it as a birthday gift for a ten-year-old girl. She devoured the whole thing in couple of hours and when she finished, she told me she loved it. This ten-year-old girl is very girly, she likes unicorns and rainbows and magical worlds, but she also likes Sci-Fi and scary, threatening bad guys. As a result, the genre of this book is quite niche, and it may not be appropriate for every ten-year-old. There are some confrontations I would categorise as "mild peril." Spoiler Alert: If you're a parent looking for something for a child of a similar age, there are two deaths in this book and so you may want to check it out first because I recognise every child is different. (The girl I wrote is for said they weren't graphic deaths, and she was fine with both in the context of the story.)
