A conniving congressman, the rival kingdom of Ame, bandits, a rampaging king, a mysterious masked assassin- The Emeral Kingdom is flawed, as any nation.

Many men and women contribute to these flaws,

Gustaaf, an (by all means reckless though) expert assassin trained under a mysterious mentor, takes a job above his normal life of stabbing, cutting, and otherwise mutilating, getting inexorably involved in a plot to take the throne.

Madelief, a farmgirl from the slums of the city outside of the great walls of Emeral, wants nothing more to settle her life back to normalcy after all hope is lost, but she soon finds herself to be caught up by the vortex that is the court.

There are many millions of parallels. Worlds living and breathing at the same time - time doesn't even exist, 18th century England is living and breathing alongside the present day. While London is living in the past, Afalon is pushing toward it's future. 7 sons, a rare and lucky amount, are Princes in line to the throne. Melanie is in the 18th century, conning each village out of their wares in exchange to see but an inch into their future. Then, after an unlucky exchange, she's dragged into the floating court-city of Afalon in the Æther - another world entirely - to stand trial for someone else crimes. Trial by fire. Trial without end. Ameline has been busy pillaging and murdering her way through Afalon for months, making the ælfin pay for what they did to her family. Then, on a whim, she decides to go big or go home. She kills one of the Seven Princes. Those same princes who embody the attributes of each deadly sin... Now, another girl is brought from her homeworld, Earth, to stand trial for Ameline's own crimes. Worse still... she recognizes her face so, so much. It's her own. A doppelgänger. A modern twist on terrible childhoods and anti-heros. Melanie and Ameline's story is a page-turner you certainly need to start, but with such tragedy and twisting themes of joy and horror you'll want to finish. Blood Stains on Silk

17 parts Ongoing

Elegant, refined, loyal; everything a royal is expected of. Princess Lena Malfeen expresses what she needs to as the youngest princess of her kingdom, Rotédia. However, a naturally cold and enchanting aura hints at the second side of her. Clever, skillful, and secretive, the 22-year-old princess has a reticent job as an assassin by the name Silk Eyes. Now, she's widely recognized for her skills within the joint organization of assassins and spies. Lena's curiosity starts when she is asked to teach a few trainees with one of the top spies. She doesn't know much about him but once he starts to show interest in her, Lena is intrigued. Maybe because of his uniquely handsome features that captivates everyone or his impressive skills, Lena can't forget him. As the two grow closer and uncover each other's personality, an inevitable force brings them together. Through the earthquakes of life and the peaceful rivers, Lena feels she's found a rare person.
