Despite having concluded the Literature Club couldn't be happy with her existence, Monika has somehow been brought back. Nobody seems to remember anything related to the tragedy that occured, and the girls do not appear to be crushing over the new member, Aoki.
Monika still yearns for freedom -- her wishes are granted when the Club is attacked by a powerful, godlike deity. However, this starts a butterfly effect, and the club ends up joining a secret interdimensional enterprise of Agents who protect the Realm's infinite Realities. Her choices, influenced by past experiences and the battle between order and chaos, can bring all existence to an end.
