I stare at the pocket door I found for the 4th time and wonder if it is worth it. In our homes we all are taught that pockets are dangerous places, that they are not places for us humans. Unlike many towns everyone in my town knows where the pocket doors are but still no one has ever tried to open one. I think it says something about how feared they are. There are many myths about what exactly is behind the doors but no one knows for sure. Some people say there are monsters that will skin you alive and eat your organs, some people say that the pockets are heavens and pockets doors are impossible to open. But my mom dont believe in any of the myths, she says that behind the pocket doors there is a better world with better people who have wings called Faerie. She says that a long long while ago humans captured Faeries and prisoned them in pockets underground. She says that we should find a way to open the pocket doors and free them. She sent my sister to one of the pocket doors last year. We never saw her after that day. My mom went in 6 months later and I never saw or heard from her after that day either.

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

Crysen hails from a powerful and noble lineage of light fairies and is expected to uphold his mother's legacy. However, he has yet to awaken his power and continues to wait for his time to come. When it finally does, there is no escape from destiny and he must learn to use his power or watch as the entire realm is destroyed. With the help of his newly discovered friends, he must overcome the threat to the realm and learn to use his powers. At least, he is not alone but will having them there help or hinder him? 2021 Note: This is the original version of the story which is now being rewritten into a novel worthy of Crysen. I have long debated on what to do about this book and have finally decided to start over and create something even better, for Crysen and for myself. However, I will not take this down because I see it as a vital piece of my history, as well as Crysen's. Thank you.
