I could see him grinning out of the corner of my eye. He was enjoying this far too much. "Just do not ever scare me like that again, Jasper," I fussed. He winced as I moved the cloth across his ribs.
"Or what," he toyed.
I stopped and glared at him. I stammered, trying to think of something clever. "I- I'll. I don't know, but I'll think of something." Before I knew what was happening, Jasper got his arm around my waist and pulled me into the tub with a splash. "Jasper," I managed to gasp.
In a world where humans and orcs have raged war with each other for hundreds of years, 22-year-old Lady Brenna of Blackwater Hold was sent away to the Northern Orruk horde, something that was unheard of. Her father, King Corvus, pledged her to the chief of the Northern Orruk Horde, Jasper Bloodborne, to save his own skin. She could not understand how her father could trade her away to these beasts.
