Donnie is struggling to come to terms with the fact that Leo is probably dead. He made a portal machine to hopefully find his twin but instead, he finds three turtles he definitely wasn't looking for. But maybe they can help him come to terms with his grief and finally face reality.
The kid seems kind of odd though, always looking at the air and seemingly interacting with someone who isn't there.
