After practically raising herself in her flawed home, she became independent and learned how to keep her emotions in check, but when she finds love sneaking up on her she starts to lose the side of her that craves solitude and darkness. Her phobia of fire and sudden talent for firebending create a chaotic pair as she battles both herself and her emotions in a fight that can only end one way. Modern au, no bending au, high school au Sokka and Azula have never been friends. Quite the opposite actually. Azula's always found him annoying and insufferable Sokka's always found her rude and entitled What will happen when they find themselves in the same class during their last year of high school? Sokka is a sweet himbo Azula has many issues with her mom and honestly Ozai is scary but pretty sweet. Some chapters will be focused on her issues. Added info: All characters are 16 and all in the same grade Zuko and Azula are twins so they can be in same grade and so are Sokka and Katara (not a big plot point at all, just more convenient and helps with continuity) Highschool where I'm from is grade 7 to 11 (they're in grade 11) so I'm going based off that I don't own any characters Creds to artcrawl for the cover art

enemies, to friends, to lovers. ______________ hi there. so, this is modern. they still have bending, ba sing se is a place etc. it's just like ATLA except with technology i guess? not sure how to explain it. but we've got zukka because im in love with it, kataang and then.. toph. but there is not firelord stuff or anything like that. i'm editing this 3 chapters in because it followed the plot line better LMAO suki died. i haven't put too much research into when she died, but i'm gonna say this is like a year or so after the last episode of atla. they need to be aged up LMAO sokka is 17, zuko 18. katara 16 and for the sake of the plot aang is also 16. toph is 15. mature content warning. minimal swearing if y'all care LMAO. its slow burn and a lot of beating around the bush. they don't wanna admit anything and sokkas just overall afraid to love again after every woman or girl he's loved has died in some form. minus katara and toph. zukos head over heels you could say, he's realizing what affection really feels like. so this leaves him questioning
