When a young Hayden gets cheated on by Astrid while at basic training, he throws himself into his work silently suffering for years. Upon sustaining life-changing injuries, he returns home to heal and make a better life for himself. As Astrid returns home for Christmas following a bad breakup, she reunites with her old lover. Will they find love in each other again or will it spell disaster for the life Hayden has built and fought to protect?
