Rejected Love {COMPLETED}
My mate. So weak. So pathetic. I have a weak and pathetic mate. I thought as I looked at her in disgust and displeasure. Just like me when I was human. She is human! I don't want a mate. I don't want a weak and pathetic mate! She can't fix me! She's nothing! Screw this! My thoughts were going berserk with the rushing flashes of my past. I tucked my hand through my hair roughly in an unsuccessful attempt to stop the replay of those horrible evocations. I laid her on the small grass patch at the side of the deserted road. She was half-conscious, so possibly she could hear me... "Hey!" I said, jerking her pale face gently. Blood was covering half of her face but she was still looking beautiful in the moonlight. The sparks weren't going unnoticed and I reminded myself that it was just the mate-bond. I was determined in my decision and there was no way I was going to change it. The girl opened her eyes slightly and with that, I did what I thought was right at that time. "I, Kane Wilson, reject you as my mate!" I said, with all the strength I could have mustered in my miserable state of emotions and with that, I left her there, feeling extreme pain in my heart. But I pushed that pain aside and ran from there in my ultimate inhuman speed. Away from her! Still feeling the Rejection Pain. *~*~*~*~*~*~* He rejected her when she didn't even know what he meant for her. Time waits for no one- Yi have to act quick. Once the world knows, it might be a game over. ⟩------------------------------------------------------------⟩ NOTE: • This is a Honkai Star Rail fanfic. • The MC looks like Chaos from PGR. • Her powers are similar to Oberon's from FGO. • While she is related to Tayzzyronth, enemies that were born from Tayzzyronth will be hostile to the MC. Unless she created them. • If you don't like the book, don't force yourself to continue reading! • There might be contents certain readers would find sensitive, so be wary. • English isn't my first language. • Some characters might act OOC. • The book might be cringe.
Revision (COMPLETE)
My name is Delaney and this is my story. I feel compelled to give you fair warning before you embark on my journey. It's messy. It's chock-full of terrible choices and split-second decisions filled with bad judgment. It's rough, complicated and angsty-but, hey, isn't that what real life is? You live and learn through experience. You (hopefully) mature and don't make the same mistakes twice. These, however, are tough lessons to learn when you're trying to navigate through. Sure, dear reader, you will have ideas of how I could've handled it all better-I know I certainly do, in retrospect. But, I'm me. I'm human. And to err is human, right? Isn't that the popular quote people love to use as an excuse? Well-there it is. Read my life story, I dare you, but remember you've been warned. The divorce of her parents does not come as a surprise to Delaney, however her mother's swift decision to relocate to Florida throws her for a loop. After enrolling in classes at university, she makes fast friends with Shane, the quintessentially perfect guy. Jaded by her past experiences with relationships, Shane completely confounds her. He represents everything Delaney believed didn't exist in real life; stability, security and good old-fashioned kindness. It should be effortless. With Shane, it's exactly the type of happily-ever-after story she loves to read, as well as write. Enter Fin: the edgy, risk-taking artist that unrelentingly captivates her attention. Soon after becoming her partner in literature class, he becomes her one and only copyeditor and most trusted confidant. Torn between two different worlds, Delaney stumbles through a range of decisions that lead her on an unexpected journey. She finds herself left with an impossible choice: A life of contentedness filled with ease and love or a passion-filled wild ride that leaves her breathless. However, Delaney also discovers that sometimes the seemingly unimportant everyday decisions end up making the choices for you...Complete
