Clarke Griffin and her crew are the first to find land west, across the Big Sea.

What she doesn't expect to find is another civilization, with a religion so different to her own and a society that makes her skin shiver. In that society, Lexa is a monster. When her skin tears open, she bleeds black, and what else could that be but sinful?

Not everything is always truthful, though. Sometimes monsters are just humans other humans are afraid of.

And sometimes, monsters set everything aflame. Sometimes, when you cage them in too much, they tear everything apart.

How much damage could a group of delinquents and a few social outcasts possibly do? 

(The world will burn in their wake until they will forge a new one. And their hearts will too, but perhaps that's a sweeter kind of damage.)

This is the second part of my story "We'll always have Paris". STOP reading this if you haven't read the first part yet, because... well... spoilers 🤫 In the first part we met Clarke Griffin, an Australian doctor living and working in Spain who goes to a convention held in Paris, where she meets Lexa, the actress who plays an iconic LGBTQ+ character on a TV Show called "The Last Commander". And... they fall in love 😉 Assuming you have read the story, our girls had their happy ending almost a year later when they met again in Paris at the same event and Lexa pretty much came out of the closet, kissing Clarke in a room full of fans. The second part of the story consists of three chapters and an epilogue. Each chapter happens in a different city/country, giving us an insight in their life immediately after the kiss at the convention, and later as a couple living in L.A., facing new challenges as they try to work around their busy schedules to spend as much time together as they possibly can. We also get to see how Clarke copes with being constantly in the eye of the public as Lexa's girlfriend and what kind of effect the whole 'coming out of the closet' thing had on Lexa's career and their relationship in general. The Grounders cannot make sense of Clarke Griffin, the woman that falls out of the sky (unbeknowst to them, as a lone test subject for radiation) and so they call her a Goddess. A Goddess spreading fear and evil and death in the forest around Polis, and thus, a Goddess that Lexa, as the Heda, is bound to despise. When her people follow up, an army of Gods stands against Lexa and although she goes to war against them, a third enemy soon appears that forces Lexa to form an alliance. That is shameful enough, but if only there wasn't Clarke, Skaikru's leader and thus the woman Lexa has to share a tent with, share a bed with, share parts of her life with that she wants no one to see. Clarke couldn't be a worse, more powerful enemy. She makes Lexa feel a chaos of things that are way beyond any hatred she has ever felt before (Is it hatred, though? She's always been a good kid and never one to step out of line, aside from the occasional party, but, like every human being, she's suffered. She struggled with a lot within her "perfect" bubble, but when Lexa moves to Polis, her life is turned upside down... for the better. Lexa never had it easy growing up. She had everything she wanted until it was taken away suddenly. The rest of her life was hectic and messy. She had a lot of trauma and baggage, but she managed to keep her head up. She always kept good grades and she worked out a lot, but she never really had friends or a family until she moved to Polis I'm not sure I'll ever understand why 22k+ people read this story O_O
