Demons are thought to have been ruthless creatures that cause death and destruction. All except one. He refuses the Arch Demon's orders, to murder these humans and steal their powers just to keep their secret hidden. Instead he cares for them, protects them anyway he can.

Thanatos is a powerful Demon who doesn't fit in with normal demon society. His human and animal form are both gentle and sweet, even his demonic form is less than what you would think.

The protectors are the 'good' demons, they protect and care for humans, only feeding and killing when necessary. Unlike the bringers(of death) who cause havoc and mayhem to the human population, feeding every day and killing when they get the chance. Thanatos belongs to the bringers, but does not bring death.
