He remained in the doorway, silent. His eyes darkened. This time you were able to at least focus enough to note his eye color, but still little else. He didn't need to say anything for you to feel the anger radiating from him.
"How long was I out?"
"Few days."
Silence. You forced yourself to maintain eye contact, a trick your father taught you. His eyes really were dead.
"You plan on blinking?" You shifted your weight, testing your ability to stand firmly on both legs.

Time was standing annoyingly still and I think I may have forgotten how to properly breathe.
