Erica Hale is nervously awaiting her grade 8 class list. Once she gets it, she is extremely disappointed to learn she has been split up from her best friends and is stuck with, her frenimie, Ashley Sparks. Erica is bummed the first few days, but things start looking up when she meets Ben Ripely.
This is an AU of Erica's grade 8 life before Spy School. You read this then you read Spy School if that makes sense. Some parts of the SS series wont line up with this book but that's ok because this is an AU :).

Spy School Goes to Trial
Ben Ripley is a spy-in-training at the CIA's Academy of Espionage. In his short time there he's had a lot of success, but made many enemies in the process. He just wants to find some balance in his personal life, but the bad guys just won't cut him any slack. They've got big plans for him. Background I would like to become a better writer, and I am using the Spy School series for practice. I really like the way Stuart Gibbs writes, and I fully admit I am trying hard to copy his style. I don't know if I was successful or not. Hopefully, some of you will enjoy this short half-novel. I know it probably starts a little slow, but it does pick up. At least, I am having fun writing it. Takes place after Spy School Goes to Sea and contains spoilers from all the novels. All characters are original to Stuart Gibbs. She believes that the baby will only get in the way of things in the future. The gang tries to assure her that the baby will be just fine and that she won't need to worry about a thing. But when a new mission comes into play, things get a little out of hand. And as this is all happening, a new enemy arises from the shadows. Will the gang be able to stop the bad guys?
