*First Draft*
Twenty-one-year old Adeline Marie Morgan has finally saved up enough money to move into a small, two bedroom apartment with her fiver-year-old twin daughters.
Growing up in a very Christian household never stopped Adeline from having fun. She drank, she smoked, and she had sex, and everyone knew it. So it wasn't a surprise when she got pregnant at sixteen.
Adeline's parents refused to let her live with them after the babies were born, and her boyfriend, the father of her children, denied ever having slept with her. Since he maintained his good Christian boy image over the years, everyone not only believed Adeline was a sinning whore, but also a cheater.
Adeline spent years bouncing around from house to house, living with extended family and close friends until she finally ends up in North Carolina with enough money saved up to rent a small apartment and a job working at a bakery.
Everything is running smoothly until she realizes that her neighbors above her are four boys who are sophomores at the local college who like to stay up late playing obnoxiously loud music and drinking.
After the second night of her daughters not being able to sleep because of the noise, she confronts them about the disturbance, and the encounter changes the direction of her life.
The test comes back Positive.
The front page of the newspaper reads:
"ABANDONED! 18 Year Old Daughter of Local Drug Dealer Left Alone While Family Awaits Trial"
The letters say "I miss you"
What is my life? How can I go from being top at my school to being pregnant? How can I go from having a good life to having everything I've ever known rip apart at the seams?
I am an orphan. I have no home because my family was arrested on drug charges and I haven't seen my dad in years. All I have is this belly and my boyfriend, I have to do it. For the baby.
