I wouldn't ask him what he was doing here. I caused enough trouble already. I just waited while he stared at me from across the room, his eyes boring into mine. "What happened to the vase?" His tone was one that I recognized. The tone he would use when it was time to talk about something I didn't want to. The tone he used to win me over. I turned away from him, breaking eye contact.
"I smashed it," I mumbled in between my teeth.
"Why?" His voice was louder this time.
