Kennedy After emptying an entire bottle of vodka on her ex-boyfriend at work, Kennedy has to find another job. Fast. Luckily, an art gallery gave her a chance after applying to every job within a thirty-minute commute from her apartment. This would be a fresh start. One without a psycho ex who got under her skin every time he decided to spend happy hour at her bar. No, this would be a cushy corporate job as an executive assistant. That is until she walked in to find out that her new boss was the guy she had hooked up with twice-or was it three times? It was all blurring together. Yeah, this would be easy...once she figured out how to focus when he gave her the time of day. Alexander The De Rosa Empire was crumbling. With Alexander's dad dead, he was faced with an invasive investigation into his murder, a company that had more places to hide money than art, and a rival family waiting for his downfall. If that wasn't enough, his new assistant was a dangerous distraction. There were three things the De Rosa family lived by: Discretion. Loyalty. Order. Focus on these things, and the life they'd created would thrive. Kennedy threatened each and every one of these virtues-but was it wrong that he just didn't care? Alexander was the oil to Kennedy's flame, and he was ready to let it burn.

I saw her long before she saw me. She didn't know then that her fate had already been sealed, that every step she took was drawing her closer to me. Closer to what she would become. There was something in her-something fragile, something wild. A fear she tried to hide, wrapped in defiance and confidence. It was intoxicating, watching her, knowing that no one else could see what I saw. No one else could feel the pull like I did. The slow, deliberate unraveling of her world as it would soon be tethered to mine. I felt my heart beat once, hard and fast. It was the only signal I needed. She would be mine-not in some fleeting, hollow way. No. I would strip away every shield, every defense, until she was laid bare, body and soul. And when she looked at me for the first time, I knew. She was already mine. A. Trigger Warning ⚠️: This story contains intense and graphic content, exploring dark and disturbing themes that may be triggering for some readers.
