Srimad Bhagavatam," meaning "Story of the Fortunate One," is text that is considered one of the main collections of wisdom in Hinduism, covering a wide range of knowledge from the nature of the Self to astrology, geography, music, dance, culture and yoga. The focus is Bhakti yoga and devotion to Krishna, one of the main Hindu gods and in some traditions, the supreme deity.

Also known as the "Bhagavata Purana," this text is believed to have been written by the philosopher, Vyasadeva, who also authored the Bhagavad Gita.
