The Entities observed, and nothing else. They had been here long enough to witness the birth of the first stars in the Galaxy, and they would be here long after the last Sun faded out of existence. Nothing quite mattered to them: Creation, Destruction, Good, Evil,... It was all to be observed, and again, nothing else. Their all-knowing sight set on a blue planet where something unexpected was found: Life.

The guardians of the light are trained to protect at the 'Гэрэл Чапел' (The Chapel of Light). Jace, who came to the school expecting such, has spent years (one and a half) preparing himself to fight. However, he soon learns that the fight runs much deeper, and the stakes are much higher than he thought.
