"Sera." I gasped as my name whispered around me. A harsh, deadly whisper; taunting me as if I were wounded prey. The kind of prey that kept fighting even after the fight had long been lost. Frantically looking through the trees as I slowed my pace, searching for the source of that whisper, all I was met with was complete darkness and a fear that gripped my soul. A fallen branch caught my foot and I stumbled forward, trying to catch myself but piercing the palm of my hand on a twig instead.

"SERAAAAA!"

As the blood dripped down my fingers, a furious screech of my name froze me in my tracks. The sound permeated the forest around me and I desperately tried shaking off the terror that had stilled my movements. Taking in a deep breath, I shook myself and resumed my frantic flight, each tortured breath a reminder that failure would mean my death.

Even as I kept running, I knew the truth. I knew my fate; my pursuer would catch me. He wouldn't stop until he did. He was the predator and I was the prey. I would never escape him.

Everything was gone. I sobbed, my clothes ripped and I was bleeding, but it didn't matter. I had to get to her, to them. Had to find- Struggling to stand, I grasped my side, biting back the scream that wanted to escape. I looked down at my hands and red coated them, blurring together until I couldn't see anything anymore. I squeezed my eyes shut, forcing my panicked breathing to slow, until I felt in control of myself again. It had been so long, I thought as I turned my peeling and dry face to the sun, my fingers shaking as I struggled to make sense of them. For so long, I'd been a wolf, cursed. All that I was, or could've been had been reduced to nothing but an animal driven by instinct, bloodlust, thousands of lives met their ends at the edges of my razor sharp claws. I had no idea where I was, how much time had passed. My fingers touched something hard in the sand, and a jolt of information went through me as Queen Azalea's sword, gleamed as I pulled it free. My heart started to pound as sun glinted off of the blade, reflecting back at me. I nearly dropped the metal when I saw myself. I took a second look and saw white hair, caked with dirt, and yellow eyes, blue veins sparking in their depths. All at once, I remembered who I was. I remembered why I was here, how much time had passed. I am Azalea Marie Albescu, The Queen Alpha. A false queen sits on my throne, controls what's mine. I would have to make my way back to my pack, my family, and my home, if still there. I would rise again, as I had before, and reclaim what belongs to me. DISCLAIMER: AS WITH MANY OF MY STORIES, I DO IMPLICATE SITUATIONS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT/ABUSE. Not in any way do I intend to glamorize this behavior, I write about these delicate and painful situations because I myself relate to them and will always fight for survivors, including myself. Thank you for your understanding and if you are in any way uncomfortable reading these stories, I encourage you to look elsewhere.

"Who's out there?" One of the men yelled. Of course only silence met them. I remained quiet and waited for the group to start moving again. "Maybe it was just an animal." Someone whispered. The person, who I assumed was the captain of the small squad, signaled for them to walk again. They clearly showed fear as they kept going; brandishing their weapons to guard themselves with. "Two are holding lanterns. I'll tell you when you're too close to them." I heard my friend whisper in my ear. I followed the men as I picked up another branch and waited for the right time to break it. They continued to walk through the forest, turning their heads in every direction as if an animal might lunge at them and rip their throats out. I guess in a way I was going to do that. "Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind. At nine years old, Silver decided to leave her village for the forest. Since then, she's been hunted; everyday is a fight for her life, every breath she takes could be her last, but she's determined to stay alive. Her life isn't the kind anyone would want to live but she's managed to survive this long so, what's a few more years?

Something is killing them, wings breaking, angels dieing and the kingdom falling into a dark shadow. The one born that started it all is unaware of what is coming right at her. Evil lurks in plain sight and goods trembles. This 5 year old has a lot coming at her. "She fluttered down to the ground, pulled her winds in and rolled up into a ball on the ground. Her eyes filled with water. Slowly a small drop came out at the end of her black eyes. Rolling down onto her cheekbone and upon her pale cheek. Dropping to her jaw and slowly on her chin. It quickly fell off into her lap. She was crouching now, her arms around her knees and knees tucked in. Tears started streaming down on her face. Her nose started to run, dropping down onto her lips and past, moving to her chin and off, just like the tears. Falling every millisecond now. The wind blew her hair into her face, making it stick to the water. Sniffling her nose every now and again, Seraphina couldn’t stop herself. She opened her mouth to scream, to yell so her pain would leave but her voice disappeared. Nothing came out. She blamed herself for everything, she could have stopped them, done something to help, but no, she stood there, frozen. She clenched her fists. She grabbed what she could and threw it. But she couldn’t settle down, her heart was too hurt and her mind only made things worse." ~CHAPTER 9 ARTHOURS NOTE: PLEASE READ PAST THE FIRST TWO PAGES, THEY SUCK, THE REST ARE SO MUCH BETTER, PROMISE. its just hard to start a book with an intresting start, please read on even if its boring XD appreciate it.

One of his hands slides underneath my dress and between my thighs, trying to separate them. I press them together harder, and see his facial expression-It was dark, he was clearly getting aggravated at my defiance. His fingernails start digging into my flesh, as I let out a weak sob. My voice seemed to have left me as the world around me became nothing. Was I going to accept this? Eyesight blurry, I become dizzy- intense nausea seeping in. I hope I throw up. I hope it disgusts him enough to leave me the hell alone. What if I get away and he follows me to my mom? What if he hurts her? As soon as the panic comes, it leaves. Had someone finally heard my screams and pleas for help? The old man is knocked off of my body in a blur, and I take this chance to crawl away from his hunched form; My bones aching from the hard, dirty floor. I reach the brick wall, and let myself fall limp on a patch of ivy. I suddenly feel tired, my energy was draining. I feel a heating sensation warming up my chest- spreading like a wildfire; My veins turn a glowing citrus, orange color- but it quickly goes away. Did I see that correctly? Although, the weak feeling doesn't go away. I shut my eyes momentarily, only to reopen them to fill my curiosity. I don't see much because of the black blobs coating my vision. The veins on my arms have went back to their normal blue, as if I hadn't seen them turn any odd color at all. Maybe I was hallucinating. I was only able to witness one thing, and I had a sinking feeling that I probably shouldn't have watched. I was able to spot out a masculine figure grab the old man by his neck, and what I saw next shocked me to my deepest core. His eyes turn an intense silky red as his fangs come out quickly and he gives an evil, intimidating smile. "I'm gonna enjoy this." He states in his low guttural voice as he reaches forward and rips the old man's liver out.

I screamed at the top of my lungs when he slashed the boy's neck with his claw. The boy next to the dead body stood frozen while he visibly squeezed the boy's head into nothing. Jack pushed me at the monster and ran out the door, but he didn't make it far. He caught up with him and bit off his head, blood trickling down his chin. Then the monster turned towards me and threw Jack through the window, loosing interest in the boy in a second. He walked towards my shaking body, leaning his 8 foot body down to mine. The smile that formed on his disgusting face made my stomach do a 360° flip. And the fire that was enveloping him was making my eyes burn.
