Gracie is living out a legacy that was started by her father and sister, which both of whom are deceased. She lost both of them years ago. She is on the run from the king's goons/guards, but that doesn't stop her. However, her whole world is turned from the inside out even more when the prince picks her to come stay at the palace to be one of his choices as a bride. She hates the monarchy, but then she starts realizing that this could be a good thing. Nathan is the prince and is madly in love with his childhood best friend, Gracie. He knows what she is doing, but she thinks that they are going to arrest her when that is not at all what they want. He hates the fact that they haven't seen each other in six years, but he is going to change that. He wants her as his bride, but he knows it is going to be a lot of work to get her to agree to that.
