The Viper ONC 2020
(ONC round two qualifier!) Once upon a time. . . There was a kingdom in the midst of a war. As troops were slain mercilessly, the king turned to the gods and prayed for a blessing. Thus, the dragon goddess, Tiamat, answered. She lent her aid to the kingdom in return for a hundred souls to become her offspring. The king, in a frenzy, accepted her offer without acknowledging the weight of his decision. When the kingdom was victorious, the king decided to go back on his word. The cost was one-hundred men too many; he refused to take that many lives. Furious, Tiamat swore to the king that when she had enough power, she would cause such devastation in the kingdom the king's legacy would be nothing but a story. Her power was depleted, but her fury was unlimited. It took the vengeful goddess a thousand years to gather the strength to deliver her child into the world. This child would carry the soul of a dragon that would slowly lose its sanity until it caused chaos throughout the world; the world the king had sworn to protect. There would be only one way to stop the progression of the mania before the world plummets into disarray. Yet, that is only for the dragon to know and the world to ponder. --- Cover by: 3uttdog Book One of the Dragon Secrets duologyKumpleto

A poetic tale of obsession, power, and unrequited love, through battles, betrayal, and broken promises. Lovers will ache. Kings will fall. And one girl's spirit might be the sharpest weapon of it all.

The Courtship (GxG)
My brother is a prince. He's a good man. A fair man. And, one day, he'll make for a strong leader. A king. Just like our father once was. In order to ascend to the throne, he must be wed. My mother, the queen, has arranged for three princesses from our neighboring lands to court my brother. They were well educated, polite, dignified. Any one of them would make a fine wife. A fine queen. One in particular, though, happened to catch my attention... (Thanks so much for 7K reads!)Kumpleto
The Thorn (wlw)
Crown Princess Leonore, heir to the queendom of Dranath, likes women, obviously. The Queen Mother Carmilla marries her off to Sir Gabriel, obviously. So when she finds out Sir Gabriel is a woman... Dranath; queendom of mystique, bordered by jealous allies. To the southwest, the states of Aurune. East is the coast and the maritime poleis of Raham. To the north, the Hierstag clans. Rich in land and crop and poor in everything else, the queendom is closed in from all fronts. And when the sword of years-long grudges is brought to bear, who will play it to the hilt? ------------------------------ i wanted to say that this book is my love letter to imperialism, but it's actually lovingly crafted hatemail non-anonymously submitted to imperialism's tumblr asks. this is an exploration of how much suffering one can propagate in order to achieve one's goal, and the degree in which your decisions can be justified (even only to yourself!) before you become, essentially, irredeemable; an exercise in Is It Worth It Though yeah there's magic(k) in this one. and a lot of geopolitics! might have gotten carried away with the geopolitics. come for the gay, stay for the political machinations. or come for the political machinations and stay for the gay, i dont mind. 3rd person pov, leonore-centric, no homophobia (at least, not the kind we usually see), i want to say butch/femme but honestly it's butch gabriel/whatever the hell leonore is. folk anti-hero narrative or villain origin story, you decideKumpleto
Kings and Queens
"Ever done it with a peasant?" He asked towering over me, his chest blocking my vision of the sun. "Ever done it with a prince?" I asked. "No, but we can change that." "Can we? My father would flip if he found out." "Screw that bastard, love is love and he can't change that." "But, what if he's right. What if I am just confused?" "OK, tell me Noah, does this turn you on?" He removed his clothes revealing his naked body. "Yes," I sighed, "why is this so hard." "It doesn't have to be." "How," I placed my head on my knees, "it's hopeless." "It's easy, I'll guide you through it, don't be scared, I'll always be here." Changing POV "You're cute for a peasant." I said to the worried girl. "O-Oh. Thank you, your highness!" She bowed as she said. "I always get what I want, and now, I want you." "P-Princess, I have to tailor the gowns for your upcoming wedding." "I already have someone handling that. I also have a clear schedule." I couldn't stop my hand from sliding down her scared, porcelain face to her waist, where it stayed. "Maybe you should help me fill my schedule. The princess hates being bored."Kumpleto
Love me Dead
Antique stores have always given me a mysterious feeling. Every object inhabiting those stores have a story of their own. Some stories you can find with a simple click of a button while others you have to put in work. I fill my house with stories that aren't mine so I have something to get away from the modern world. The thing is when one of these antiques actually take me away from my modern world I don't know what to do. The "monster" my husband claims is taking me away as the days go by is no monster. She's my savior. /////////////////////////// Credit to a tiktok by " @honey3bee " for the basis of this story. ‼️⚠️WARNINGS⚠️‼️ Mention of abusive husband Addiction Suicide Main character is married to a man but her love interest IS a FEMALE. This is a lesbian book in case you didn't read the tags. This book is a short story so there won't be that many characters. hope you enjoy anyway.Kumpleto
