I write this because of the new live action ATLA series coming up, and in the memory of my late grandmother. The show meant a lot to us and she meant a lot to me. This is kind of a weird way to cope, but still. I grieve how I want. Might try to include what I like from the live action, but this'll mostly be from the original.All Rights Reserved

The Gaang you know and love have busy lives in the big city, this is their story, how they meet there, their emotions, what relationships build and crumble. Ruka has finally found her long lost daughter and they were reunited after years of being apart. Aya felt joy and relief when she hugged her mother for the first time. Team Avatar has set foot in Fire Nation territory and are in disguise as typical Fire Nation citizens so they can put the invasion plan in action when the solar eclipse arrives. The team has to stay hidden incase someone sees Aang's arrows or Aya's wings. It won't be easy, but things have never been easy for Team Avatar. Aang believes he has to save the world on his own, but he isn't alone, he has his Fire Angel at his side. The Avatar and Fire Angel are not only destined to be with each other but are destined to save the world together. Allies will become enemies and enemies will become allies. With in desperate need of a firebending teacher, Zuko throws away the need of capturing the Avatar and instead assists him in saving the world and teaching him firebending. After almost a year of traveling, fighting, friendship, love, anger, and heartbreak it's time for Team Avatar to save the world and bring peace back to it. Heimat: a place that you can call home; a sense of belongingness, acceptance, safety and connection to homeland A decade has passed after the final battle between the Avatar and the Fire Nation, a decade after the defeat of their Fire Lord. It is a time of prosperity for most, but the crimes commited during the war couldn't be reversed. Benders were taken away from their families, people were slaughtered, their belongings, homes and land taken away. This, had been the instance when it came to the northwest part of the Earth Kingdom, that had went on to become the Fire Nation colonies. The people of the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom lived on in the land that was given to them and gradually, they became one. They collaborated and cooperated in order to live and so they got richer, learnt to depend on each other for their survival. By the end of the war, the people, even though they came from different backgrounds, were one. A decade after the end of the war, the Avatar is commanded to solve the matter of whether the former Fire Nation citizens need to move or not. Aang believes the nations need to be separated. The people in the colonies do not, hatred starts to grow in their hearts. The Avarar will need the help of a companion more than any other time, and there is no better person to aid him than the secret waterbender that's part of the Fire Nation fleet, the woman who risked her own life to get him to safety, even though this had been the first time they had met in their lives. NOTE: Any characters that do not appear in Avatar: The Last Airbender belong to me. The atla universe belongs to the creators.

enemies, to friends, to lovers. ______________ hi there. so, this is modern. they still have bending, ba sing se is a place etc. it's just like ATLA except with technology i guess? not sure how to explain it. but we've got zukka because im in love with it, kataang and then.. toph. but there is not firelord stuff or anything like that. i'm editing this 3 chapters in because it followed the plot line better LMAO suki died. i haven't put too much research into when she died, but i'm gonna say this is like a year or so after the last episode of atla. they need to be aged up LMAO sokka is 17, zuko 18. katara 16 and for the sake of the plot aang is also 16. toph is 15. mature content warning. minimal swearing if y'all care LMAO. its slow burn and a lot of beating around the bush. they don't wanna admit anything and sokkas just overall afraid to love again after every woman or girl he's loved has died in some form. minus katara and toph. zukos head over heels you could say, he's realizing what affection really feels like. so this leaves him questioning
