"I love you.", I murmur, combing my fingers through his hair. He laid on top of me, his head resting on my stomach. "I love you too baby girl.", he replies in a whisper. My heart skips a beat as the words flow from his lips.
It feels like we've been laying here for hours, touching each other in every way possible, drawing shapes on each others arms or playing with each others hair. He looks so peaceful laying there, eyes closed with his hair covering half of his face. It kept falling down across his face as I combed through it.
The sudden realization hit me as we were laying here... I was going to marry this man some day. Some day we would be able to grow old and tired together. And I am fully prepared for that fate.
