When you play the game of thrones you live or you die. famous words.
the death of the Mad King and the rise of the Usurper. the death of all Targaryen childeren to ensure the Usurpers crown stays on their heads.
but what if the Targaryen children weren't dead? An equally dangerous game to play. What if?
What if Princess Rhaenys and her younger brother Aegon survived Tywin Lannisters assassination? What if they hid from the world alone away from the rest of the family waiting. Not like a lion waiting to pounce or even vipers. They waited for dragons to be called to arm and in war because when dragons flew to war they leave nothing but ashes and bones.
Note: This is for mature audiences, since it is after all the world of game of thrones. This story is not meant to be a play by play of the show it is solely for the purpose of entertainment. The story is simply my take if Rhaenys and Aegon were alive, this is pure fanfiction with some OC characters. Game of thrones belongs to George RR Martian and HBO. Updates will be weekly. Aegon Targaryen, firstborn son of Prince Rhaegar and Princess Elia Martell, is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne and grandson of the Mad King, Aerys II. Older brother to Rhaenys and Orys, and nephew to Viserys and Daenerys, Aegon is one of the last surviving scions of House Targaryen. The Blackfyres and Targaryens have fought many times against each other for the Iron Throne. Maelys Blackfyre was the last one to try and conquer the Iron Throne during the War of the Ninepenny Kings. Daemon, his cousin, was also killed by Maelys in order to get control of the Golden Company. Unbeknownst to Maelys, Daemon had a son called Aegon. Aegon fled after seeing his father being murdered and set out to travel among the Free Cities of Essos. After a few years of mercenary work, he settled near Volantis and started a family. Now his daughter, Visenya Blackfyre, is going on a journey that will change Westeros and Essos for generations. ~ I do not own Game of Thrones or any of the characters except my own~ I like to thank bobissocool11 for creating his book 'A Dragon's Flame'.
