Kion and his Lion Guard finally reach the Tree of Life after a long and grueling journey from the Pridelands. After an accidental rockslide, they are seen as a threat to the Tree of Life and are rejected by the Night Pride when they ask to enter. After some discussion, the Lion Guard is allowed entrance, but Kion is refused due to an outburst. Out of anger and sadness, Kion runs away. He soon finds his way back and saves the Tree of Life just in time. Little do the Tree of Life residents know, that another great evil has been resurrected and is threatening to usurp the throne and takeover the Tree of Life. Will Kion fulfill his duty and save the tree once more? What will happen between Kion and Rani? Will this evil ever be stopped?  What hidden powers does the world hide?
