It's my Apocalypse babies....lol. The rules that I typically follow bend a bit because this is isn't normal live as WE understand it. This is live as they know it and it is COMPLETELY different from ours. These babies get more slack in a few relational areas: such as overprotectiveness, more gray area, and I allow more controversial things like miscommunication and a bit of assholery. As long as there is slight growth and they treat the love interest decently, I typically am ok with it. Abuse is never tolerated. Now mind you: I have not read these stories since they were put on the list, I didn't have rules then.
